from saxophonist to software builder:this is how Mad IT's story began

Managing director Floris Verhoeven began his career not behind a computer screen, but with a saxophone in his hand. After two years at the conservatory, he decided to take a completely different path: that of computer science. "Make or break," he thought - fortunately for him, it ended up being the former.

During his studies, Floris was already building software solutions as a job student. After graduation, it was time for a bold move: his own VAT number. Thus Mad IT grew from secondary occupation through main occupation to the establishment of a company.

From the start in 2018, Floris has been well surrounded by talented colleagues: freelance developers, and later even his own team of IT experts.

Trainee

She left a previous career behind and resolutely chose IT. As an intern, she brings guts, eagerness to learn, and a hobby collection that will amaze you. Archery, swimming, and more - we're still counting. One thing is certain: change does not deter her. Us? Maybe a little bit.

Deo

.NET Developer

Deo once aimed for a sporting future, but his career took a surprising turn toward IT. Luckily: as a developer, he excels at building smart, stable solutions. Outside working hours, he swaps his keyboard for a snowboard, a controller or a ladle. His code is tight, his pasta al dente.

Casper

.NET Developer

Casper combines youthful energy with a surprising amount of experience. As a developer, he is quick, sharp and always eager to learn. His favorite fuel? Nalu - and he burns it smoothly. As a volunteer firefighter, he is not only a hero in code, but also in crisis situations. Multitasker with a mission.

Niels is our youngest colleague, but certainly not the quietest. Always up for a chat - and a joke that just doesn't work. In his spare time, he swaps the keyboard for an Airsoft weapon, a fencing sword or a drill. Whether he is attacking, defending or renovating: he does it with full conviction.

From selling shoes to building software: Niels made the leap and landed right in IT. His days are filled with code, his evenings with board games and walks with his faithful four-legged friend. Vegetables? Those stay neatly at bay - unless they turn out to be an enemy in a fantasy campaign.

Functional analist

Not a developer, but our diving expert and world traveler. Tests his colleagues' code with fresh eyes - and is not easily fooled. Finds his way through a test scenario as easily as to a deserted island. Keeps the team sharp, above and below the water.

Ismail

.NET & JS Developer

Creativity and code go hand in hand for Ismail. An atypical .NET developer, he prefers to build an experience rather than just functionality. Outside working hours? Then he is either under the Turkish sun, or engaged in a chase with his sons in the garden. Usually without victory.

Kevin

.NET Architect

Kevin is the type who makes Blazor and Azure dance - and knows why it works in the meantime. At Mad IT, he helps build solutions that are not only smart, but logical. In his spare time, he swaps code for cake, bicycle race and quiz questions. Sometimes he scores points, sometimes just calories.

Floris found his vocation in technology and followed it with full conviction. From student to self-employed, from side job to Mad IT: his trajectory is one of vision and vigor. As an expert in Azure and .NET, he leads projects in the right direction and ensures that the team flourishes - with a solid portion of enthusiasm.

Siebe

.NET Developer

Siebe found his passion for IT later in life, but his impact at Mad IT was immediate. As a .NET developer, he brings peace of mind, insight and technical joie de vivre. In his spare time, he continues to build - not with code, but with filament. His 3D printer runs overtime, as does his creativity.
